Howard Charlton - Bio
Educated at private school and completing his education at college studying economics, Howard Charlton became a member of the Institute of the Motor Industry and a registered technical engineer, Howard then spent 27 years in the automotive logistic industry working for major PLC’s such as TKM, Brierly Investments and Inchcape.
During his corporate career he held several MD and CEO positions being responsible for the shipping and distribution of 350,000 vehicles a year, operating 140 acres of vehicle parking engineering and distribution, managing the UK’s market leading port operation and the UK’s second largest vehicle transporter fleet and a major warehousing and parts delivery company, these roles not only enabled him to operate on the continent but took him worldwide.
In 1999 Howard Charlton left the corporate sector to form his own company in business consulting, since then he has done consultancy work for 15 major companies specialising in change , interim and project management, focusing on the automotive vehicle logistic sector, commercial secure truck stops, brownfield operations development, the leisure industry and financial services. Latterly he has also been involved with European, UK and local governments.
